Thank you very much for attending the Press Meet amidst your busy schedule. Indeed your presence means a lot for me and it would accelerate my future plans and actions.
India, one of the world’s largest and youngest democratic nations which predominantly depend upon the policy makers for its development, is facing turmoil in these modern days. It seems India would easily be the only nation where we have 1000 political parties with 10,000 ideologies and 10 lakhs aspirants aiming for Prime ministerial post. Isn’t it an inappropriate thing to expect these people to work for the welfare of our country? Can we call ourselves unfortunate if we get carried away by the promises of our politicians? We can do better than blaming them for our suffering. We don’t need any new ideology to architect a new India. What we need is a single minded pursuit for excellence in all aspects of the growth of our country.
Our honourable former president, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has visualized a road map for the development of India as a better society. With the inputs from TIFAC (Technology, Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council) he scripted what the policy makers are expected to do in all relevant sectors. If we follow his sermon of “dreaming, transforming dreams to thoughts and thoughts into actions”, crores and crores of our people would be benefitted. In other words, it is high time that all of us not just aspire for developmental politics but witness it for real. We need educated and selfless youth to drive this country to the next developmental phase. Instead of looking at politics as someone else’s job and act as if we just have to enjoy luxuries of a comfortable life, the youth with dynamic personalities should come forward with courage and get into active politics.
As I am insisting on ‘WE’ and ‘ALL’, I will need to take the initiative first. I would like to take the road map defined by our noble leaders. I strongly believe that I would be able to make the difference with my efforts. I am not entering politics to earn name or fame as I already that with what I have done. Then why am I entering politics? I am entering politics because to make my society a much better place for my fellow human beings. Only with this selfless attitude, I am aspiring to be a part of legislative body. I wish to do politics the way it was intended to be done. With equal pride and humility I wish to assure you, that my victory will be definitely looked upon by honest people and common people as their victory. It would unleash new energy from the youth and educated people who will help our country grow further. Let us all take a vow to teach the political parties that it is time to focus on growth and development. It is the youth’s turn this time to make the positive difference we deserve.
With this note, I request all South Chennai constituency voters to vote without bias for any party, caste or religion and elect the candidate who they think would definitely do what they deserve and the country needs.

First of all I would like to congratulate you for your brave decision. The thing you need to understand is that, you can attract youth voters easily but the youth either do not have enrolled to vote/ do not have vote in south chennai as many unmarried youth are from rest-of-chennai. Other than this, It is difficult to attract elders’ vote. Please take a note of this and act accordingly.

The enforcement of the Law lies with the Beaurocrats, who will never listen to you… ’cause they know your span is 5 years and YOU are Dependant on THEM for your survival and not Vice Versa. Of course this is in condition that you become a minister…which you will not. At the most this election will get you vantage media space and publicity for you. Good luck with your business.

After winning, even if he could not do any thing for his constituency, it doesn’t matter. But his actions as a MP would surely be an encouraging factor for people like him and we could see more people like him to enter politics. This is how we can expect change in our politics. Dear Sarath,
Good to know your story and how you had grew up to this level. Definitely the mercy of the Lord was with you. I am sure you would have recognized the Lord’s hand behind each of your success. It is really a good thought to contest in the Loksabha elections with the idea of serving people. Not many youngsters are eager to get into political administrative affairs.
But I humbly request you to consider the following :
- Ancient India has had many great emperors like Maharaja Yudhistra, Maharaja Parikshit, who have set a perfect example of how to do perfect administration for the welfare of all the subjects under their rule. They were not just mere tax collectors. They took care of his subjects in all angles of social, political, economic and spiritual upliftment.
- Evidences from vedic literatures show how Maharaja Yudhistra ruled over the entire world. Being the son of Dharmaj (Yama) and having taking complete shelter of Lord Krishna, his rule was such that there was enough rainfall, earth produced all necessities of man in profusion. Cows, due to their cheerful attitude, gave plentiful milk. The rivers, oceans, hills, mountains, forests, etc supplied their quota in profusion.
- The rule of Maharaja Parikshit (grandson of Maharaj Yudhistra) was also similar. But he had to tackle the influence of the age of Kali yuga. When the personification of Kali yuga attacked and wanted to take shelter, he awarded five places for him to reside – they are gambling, intoxication, prostitution, animal slaughter and the fifth place is gold – source of falsity, intoxication, lust, envy and enimity. So, Maharaja Parikshit practically had no places in his kingdom for gambling, intoxication, prostitution or animal slaughter. He also utilized all his subjects and the riches of his kingdom in the service of the Lord or in relationship with the Lord, to re-establish the four pillars of religion namely austerity, cleanliness, mercy and truthfulness. Thereby Maharaja Parikshit practically had no place for Kali to reside in his kingdom.
- So, it is very important for an administrator to avoid the above mentioned four mentioned gambling, intoxication, prostitution and animal slaughter also engage and utilize the resources for the spiritual upliftment of people in general. This is how an administrator can sucessfully rule over his kingdom or country or nation or even the whole world, where his subjects can live very happily without falsity, envy, lust, etc. If we are to look after only the economic development, then ultimately we will get disappointed, there wont be any use. The richest country in the world – United States of America does not have to worry about economic development, but we see that they have enough problems than India. The wealth of India is its spiritual value. We need to capitalize on that and rule the country in all angles of social, political, economic and spiritual upliftment to bring about a revolution. Then the whole world will follow us.

I am yet to get the point from your decision to contest from South Madras Parliamentary Constituency. All political parties are telling they want to create prosperous India, hunger free India etc. Did you analyse why they failed? I want you to do this exercise independently irrespective of charge sheets framed by one party against the another. If the leaders of all political parties are selfish aiming their family interest, self interest to retain the name and fame through political power, which action made our country to the present status. I want you to jog out the list of issues the country is facing and order of priority to be given to achieve your goal according you. Please furnish yoour detailed programe you want to achieve the goal. As you aware, you used to present a detailed project report before starting any new venture to the investor,likewise you must also spell out your detailed proposed programm in politics. I hope you are aware of the responsibilities of MP and each MP is assigned with a fund of 5 crore a year to spend developmental expenditure in his/her constituency apart from directing the government in their policy decisions. Do you have any definite plan as to how to spend the 5 crore in your constituency? Which developmental plan has to be prioritised in South Madras? Did you do any detailed study of issues in your constituency? If so why not release your study and your solution during this election?

I am really impressed with ur profile and ur past achivements. On this page, you may see many comments wishing u,supporting u,etc. but in real world scenario, the % of ppl those really know you is very less. So market yourself to the elders,children,gals,rich,poor,educated,non-educated ppl. Of course, you must have thought abt it already. But ppl around u will tell u all ur strengths but know ur weakness. The dependancy of achiviing ur goal here is high.

One Mr S.Vijayan is speaking about action plan / reports etc, I feel it is fully idiot questions please ignore that. I am visualizing his question by comparing your situation with a person attending an interview in a company or school. If any candidate with good intention or attitude to work for the company/school then it is ok. If any intelligent /efficient /effective candidate without good attitude to work is utter waste. Keeping this as example to understand the current situation you don’t need to know detailed action. I feel it is also not your (MPs) job. I feel rulers are policy/law maker. To make an action plan and to execute there are lot of IAS officers and government employees. MPs, MLAs duty is to ensure whether all these are reaching the people or not.
SO IF YOU HAVE GOOD INTENTION TO WORK FOR PEOPLE AND FOR THE COUNTRY, THEN MODE OF SPENDING 5 CRORE (EVEN 5 MILLION CRORE) IS EASY WITH MORE EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVENESS.

I use to think that some educated people should come to politics to make our country like other developed countries…
The very first things to do are laying proper road and its cleaniness, water, street lighting, schooling etc.. These are lagging in our country.

Many have welcomed your decision though some have given high critic statements, take the cheer from the people who welcomed and take note of the critics to make sure that they realise that you can bring a change in the political system.
As someone said, you cannot bring out any change as you are an independant and would not be (possibly) a minister. However, still you can serve the best with the MP Constituency fund, Direct the local authorities in execution of the pending works, bring private participation from the industrialists in South chennai constituency, etc. Moreover, you can represent the South Chennai constituency in the parliament.
Hope for the best and take every step to secure your votes. Those votes are not mere votes, they are the faith, aspirations, hunger of the common people. Be reminded that your actions are monitored by the Soul, which is above ALL.

I also strongly believe in the comments made by Sudhagar about the percentage of Vote you can expect from youth in Chennai (Most don’t have vote and others do not vote at all) and find some way to get the elders votes who are traditional to the Leaf and Sun symbol for some reasons.

I am sure you are aware that you will be beaten badly in the upcoming elections. The people who support you are not in India. All these jokers who say “proud to be an Indian” and what not are probably in the US and have never voted in their lives. These empty voices are no inspiration for the youth. Young,inspired and driven men like you never stand a chance to win when people who think like you are not in India. I liked some of your conviction such as anti corruption, lack of honesty in politics and most importantly seconding Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s vision, … You have very impressive academic achievements and very successful in business, before you attain these successes you have very a clear vision about your life and carrier. Undoubtedly you will be very successful in politics if you get an opportunity.
I have a little suggestion for you may be obnoxious, anyways if it helps you that will be great. I hope your going to conduct this campaign in your own style like a new product launch, hopping you will use your marketing and sales skill that you learnt from ur b-school and come up with unique or something that can reach voters in the gross root level and Plan for last minute surprise to your voters, so that I can give you the finishing touch, never know , could be the winning touch. Hope you will not plan to get into controversies, Pls make your voters understands your inner personality, tell them subconsciously your not begging for their vote and you’re the right chose to make to make their voices heard in the Parliament . My only fear is that in the past also some educated mBAs and IITians floated a party and contested(Lok Ayukta or some thing.. I do not remember).The way they fought with each other after the Lost will surely put to shame the politicians and you mission also should not end up like that.educated employed youth indulge in more politics in the organistaions than the politicians.Hope you can make a difference.But what about your road map for solving the issues?.All the best.

But one main thing is missing That’s Media ,TV Telecasting your programme will give u more ideas for people who your fighting now. U can approach to “Vijay-TV” Office in chennai. Becoz currently they don’t have program like this . As this will givu more confident & support from our side & also from all over the tamilnadu .
U need defintely TV&Media to reach your message as fast as What you Think to accomplish your task.

we are happy that we have an alternate choice – and that too, a good one – to vote.
But you are not visible in the elction mela. For example, many voters identify only with a symbol. And your symbal and your name and what will be your promises are not reaching out as much as they should. Why don’t you canvass in the slums and middle class areas of south Chennai more intensely to make yourself more visible and be heard. The slate symbol should be advertised more.
And probably the promo content should be in Tamil and English.

Many people are not aware of the symbol of your party or about your party. You need to give more ads or distribute pamlets etc. Atleast you can distribute pamlets in front of IT companies, Banks, etc. But I know time is already over. Good Luck!

I am a Sri Lankan Tamil, living in Canada. I have tried to get the election result. I am not happy about the result at all. But it is people who decide governments.
I specially, was looking for some answers for Tamils in Sri Lanka. here it is 2.00 am. I don’t think things will not get better. Actually people decide mostly based on what they wanted on the day-to-day life. You should inspire them to trun them to see you. I think you have greater ability to do that. It is not easy in any part of the world specially in India. But after watching just one interview (Kumudham), I strongly feel you have the talent in you, if you choose the same path.
